We decided to dump MySQL 8.0.23

Posted by webmaster Tue Nov 30, 1999 12:00 am

We dumped MySQL 8.0.23

We have gone back to MariaDB 10.2.3 and I guess we owe them an apology as it is obvious that we made a horrible decision going to MySQL 8.0.23

As time goes on, MySQL develops more extensive features or changes to its internal architecture. They have more developers on staff than MariaDB, so they are making changes at a faster pace. However, it turns out that MySQL 8.0.23 sucks and is slower than phuck! I guess Oracle deserves it though. I can see some bullshit was pulled during the sale and somebody phucked up when they lost the lead developer for MySQL.

Who's Currently Behind The Databases?

In 2010, MySQL was acquired by the Oracle Corporation. At that time, one of the original developers, Michael “Monty” Widenius, felt that the Oracle Corporation had a conflict of interest between MySQL and their Oracle database.

In response to this, he decided to create a fork of the project named MariaDB. Since then, there's been a lot of healthy competition between MySQL and MariaDB that has led to some really great innovation. Since Oracle is backing MySQL and has a solid foundation, it continues to be the leader. However, MariaDB offers some compelling reasons why nerds may want to switch databases.

MySQL: MySQL was originally started by MySQL AB in 1994 by a Swedish company that was created by a nerd named David Axmark, Allan Larsson, and another nerd named Michael “Monty” Widenius. The first version of MySQL was released in 1995. In 2008, Sun Microsystems purchased MySQL AB. In 2010, Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle.

MySQL is currently maintained by the Oracle Corporation.

MariaDB: On the day Oracle announced they had purchased MySQL, Michael “Monty” Widenius shit a shiny nerd cape and took several MySQL developers and started MariaDB, a fork of MySQL from that point.

Hats off to Michael “Monty” Widenius he is truly the shit and I thank him for what he did and he did us proud. MariaDB is lightning fast!

Sincerely,

We have dumped MariaDB and here is why!

We are adding PHP v8 to PHP-FPM today.

Posted by webmaster Tue Nov 30, 1999 12:00 am

Current Developer Support:

FROM:
PHP 5.4 for porting only.
PHP 5.5 for porting only.
PHP 5.6 for porting only.
PHP 7.0 for porting only.
PHP 7.1 for porting only.
PHP 7.2 for porting only.
PHP 7.3 for porting only

TO:
PHP 7.4 for current development.
OR
PHP 8.0 for advanced current development.

PHP 8 has been here for a little while now. It was released on November 26, 2020. This will introduce some breaking changes, as well as lots of new features and performance improvements.

Because of the breaking changes, there's a higher chance you'll need to make some changes in your code to get it running on PHP 8. If you've kept up to date with the latest releases though, the upgrade shouldn't be too hard, since most breaking changes were deprecated in the PHP 7.xx versions.

Besides breaking changes, PHP 8 also brings a nice set of new features such as the JIT compilerunion typesattributes, and more.

Sincerely,

Do you want to be a part of the 86it Developers Team?

PHP-Nuke Titanium (Open Source Project)

As a temporary promotion, we are giving away FREE commercial web hosting accounts to our 1st 10 beta testers. We will set up your web portal/website on our commercial servers and help you design a theme that best fits your needs. You will have a network link on your portal to report bugs and errors. You will use the Network Projects link on your website/portal to report errors or make design requests. This is used for users to be set up as concept designers right out of the gate. PHP-Nuke Titanium and The 86it Developers Network, unlike other teams and projects, will implement any and all design requests and they will become a permanent part of the PHP-Nuke Titanium design or be offered as a module or maybe even a block. Our 1st 10 beta testers will get a lifetime account paid in full for being a part of our team and project. Your first response to this will probably be "nothing is free this sounds to good to be true", and if it is you're wrong. We are very serious and this is how we have decided to build and put together an awesome new team.

PHP-Nuke Titanium is a 'web-based automated blog publishing and content management system based on PHP 7.xx and MySQLPHP-Nuke Titanium is controlled using a web-browser-based user interface' and is an app in the Business & Commerce category. There are more than 25 alternatives to the original PHP-Nuke for a variety of platforms, including Self-Hosted solutions, however, none of them were or have been written with as much care as PHP-Nuke Titanium. There are lots of alternatives out there but many have security holes and back door features that allow the original developers or programmers to gain access to your personal files. Some say the best alternative to PHP-Nuke is WordPress, which is both free and Open Source. There are a few other apps that are a lot like PHP-Nuke as well. Drupal (Open Source), Joomla (Open Source), MODX (Open Source), and DEV Community (Open Source). None of these come with FREE support as PHP-Nuke Titanium does. We have dedicated an entire network to the design and use of PHP-Nuke Titanium.

This is great for beginners and also seasoned programmers. If you wanted to learn PHP or HTML this is a perfect fit for you and is a great place to start. This project uses PHP, MySQL, XHTML, HTML, JAVA, CSSBOOTSTRAP, Jquery, and a lot more...

Unlike the original PHP-Nuke, this project uses multiple doctypes. You can design themes for HTML5, XHTML or even JAVA. When you design a website/portal theme you get to decide how you want to build it and the type of framework support that you would like to have with each individual theme. We will help you learn and walk you through the steps... When just getting started with online programming, making a new PHP-Nuke Titanium theme is probably the best place to start. Each theme has the same general framework layout and you get to decide and pick what you feel comfortable learning with. Remember we will be here to help the whole way through and this network and website are here for the duration. We have already been doing this for more than 20 years and have already put more than 15 years into the learning and development of PHP-Nuke Titanium. I'm the founder of PHP-Nuke Titanium and The 86it Developers Network, I'm 54 years old and love programming almost as much as I love to show and teach others. Anytime I get a chance to share my wealth of online programming knowledge it's a good day for me.

If all this sounds good and you're ready to become a beta tester or start learning to program online let me know and I will get you set up right away. The 1st 10 beta tester will also be a part of the Ad campaign profit-sharing program. I will go into those details with you after you have become a beta tester and are part of the PHP-Nuke Titanium team. What I can tell you is not many people make more than 10 thousand dollars a month and that is what we project our team members should make after the 1st 3 years online. Team members will each be given responsibilities that will help us build a revenue system that will and should pay out even more than 10 thousand dollars a month per team member. Did you ever wonder how Tom Anderson of mySpace became a millionaire or Zucker of Facebook got so rich? I don't wonder because I spent 20 years doing research and learning all the ways that the highest-paid internet moguls created their success and more than that I learned how they destroyed their own success and I assure you that is not going to happen with my team or my network.

I'm looking for folks that understand the money to be made and more than that, folks that are loyal and dedicated and will never give up or turn their back on their team members. This network is about family and loyalty and if you're part of this network and part of the PHP-Nuke Titanium team you are considered family.

To be continued...

Sincerely,
